Mentoring and Coaching

Often people new to a position of leadership can use some help and a sounding board from an experienced coach or mentor both for technical or legal knowledge of rules and regulations, but also help with planning and goal setting, restructuring work responsibilities, and moving their team forward especially in a time of change.

While each mentoring or coaching assignment is different these are some common areas. Coaching is usually a once per month check in online for an hour or less. This could just involve the new leader or his or her team. Mentoring and coaching is also available for an experienced leader who is facing a new or unique challenge. We also coach and mentor school board presidents. Some of the positions we have mentored in the past are superintendents, school business officials, human resource directors, transportation directors, directors of facilities, head custodians and maintenance supervisors, technology directors and town managers.
